Trypophobia II
2017
White stoneware, glaze, under glaze
Dimensions variable

As my artistic research has progressed from the concept of Trypophobia, I have realized that when re-contextualized into a setting of biology and investigation, the imagery of Trypophobia takes on a new meaning.
As if scientists are examining the flesh of people infected by the new fatal skin disease depicted in Trypophobia I on petri dishes, this artwork invites the viewer to closely inspect the variety of textures that can induce the skin-shuddering effects of Trypophobia.

Exhibited for Visual Arts Graduation Showcase (2018) over at SOTA Gallery, Singapore.
